HLP Event: Breathing Space: Supporting Healthy Advocacy
This session will feature guest presenter Zoë Flowers,CEO of Soul Requirements Inc. Intentional breathing, visualization, and writing exercises are just some of the modalities utilized to assist students and adults with I/DD, family members, and support staff with techniques to reduce stress and promote a renewed sense of creativity and resilience. Trauma informed resources for creating personal self-care plans will be provided at the end of the session.
With more than 20 years in the gender-based violence movement, Zoë Flowers works nationally and internationally on the issues of domestic and sexual violence. In 2012, she founded Soul Requirements Inc., a consulting business that merges social justice and holistic healing. She currently facilitates individual and group healing sessions, retreats, workshops, and online courses for clients and students from New York to Ecuador.
