Intro to Sewing
Learn how to sew and become familiar with the items you use to sew. To participate please bring:
-A sewing needle
-Thread
-A needle threader
-An old piece of clothing, any type of material, old pillowcase, or any scrap material
Adele Wadleigh is the owner of and instructor at Inspiration Station Art and Sewing Studio. “I am in love with the arts I have always had the desire to create. As a young child, I always dabbled in all sorts of arts and crafts and loved using my hands to create new things. I began my sewing career in high school when I learned how to use a sewing machine and began sewing my own clothing, pillows, curtains and other items. Years later, after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Ramapo College, I went on to become a Certified Art Teacher in a school serving students with special needs. I then earned my Master’s Degree in Education and spent over 20 years teaching and working with the special needs population in many different capacities. I have since opened my own art and sewing studio to share my knowledge and teaching practices with those who have the desire to learn.”
