**This is a recording of a previous webinar. Experience it for the first time or rewatch it to gain a better understanding of the topic. The question box will be open and we will respond to any questions 24 hours after the event.

This webinar is all about communication and AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). Communication devices, systems, strategies and tools that replace or support natural speech are known as AAC. These tools support a person who has difficulties communicating using speech. The webinar will discuss all the tools and strategies a person can use to communicate, even when they are not able to speak.

This webinar features guest presenter Kate Flaxman MS CCC-SLP, who works at Advancing Opportunities as an Augmentative Communication Specialist. She has had a diversified experience working with individuals with complex communication needs who require augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) in schools, adult placement settings, homes, and for employment. She strives to promote communication for the purpose of improving lives through interactions with parents, peers, caregivers, and school personnel.
