Please join us on 1/8/25 at 6:00 pm. Michele Gardner spent 26 years as an educator and administrator in NJ's public schools. After 12 years as a Director of Special Services in a PreK-12 school district, Michele retired and became the Executive Director of NJCIE. She works closely with inclusion facilitators, educators and administrators throughout New Jersey to build the capacity of public schools to provide safe, accessible and meaningful inclusive education opportunities for students with disabilities. NJCIE provides fee-based professional development and consultation to school districts, as well as free systemic change, technical assistance and leadership development support through the New Jersey Inclusion Project from the NJDOE.

1/22/24- Please join us at 6:00 pm. Rachel Ishak from Brain Injury Alliance will speak about the impact of brain injuries on education as well as helpful suggestions for your child's IEP or 504 Plan. Rachel is a licensed social worker, receiving her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Rachel has experience as a support coordinator through the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), working to connect adults with developmental disabilities to state and community resources. She now serves as a Community Outreach Specialist and the Director of Camp TREK at the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey, where she is responsible for engaging and educating the community about brain injury and overseeing a camp respite program for brain injury survivors.
