Criminal Justice Advocacy Program

News and Updates

Welcome to the Equal Justice Journal Newsletter!

We’re thrilled to have you join us on this journey as we shed light on the critical work of The Arc of New Jersey's Criminal Justice Advocacy Program (CJAP). Our mission is to serve as a vital resource for information regarding offenders, victims, and witnesses with developmental disabilities, acting as a bridge between the criminal justice and human services systems. With over 25,000 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in prisons across the nation—potentially twice that number—our program is dedicated to advocating for these individuals, ensuring they receive the care and support they need as they navigate complex systems.

In future newsletters, you can expect insights into our advocacy efforts, upcoming events, monthly recaps, and ways you can get involved. Together, we can make a meaningful impact for those we serve. Thank you for being part of our community!
